Environment office

Kauniainen’s environment office is in charge of environmental protection. Its duties include legislative enforcement, e.g. environmental protection, nature conservation and waste laws, in addition to the counselling services and planning work in environmental protection and nature conservation.

The environment office follows the state of the environment as well as guiding and supervising individuals and organizations. The environmental manager handles landscape work permits that are in accordance with the use of land and construction legislation, in addition to noise notifications observant of the legislation on environmental protection.

Environment health protection is managed by the Espoo region environmental health.
